FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ: Do you accept new patients and what should I expect during my first dental visit?
A: Yes we are currently accepting new patients into our dental family. When you first call our office to schedule an appointment, you will speak to one of our knowledgeable members that will ask you a series of questions to better assist with your dental concerns. At that time, we will collect your insurance information and verify yourbenefits before your first visit. This allows us to provide you with a detailed treatment plan summarizing yourcovered benefits as well as your portion out of pocket for treatment.
We ask patients to come 30 minutes early to their first appointment to fill out New Patient Paperwork or if you like you can fill out the forms on line under "New Patient Forms" tab on our website. Your first appointment will take about an hour and we will take any x-rays needed at that time. During your exam with Dr. Glen A. Fung, he takes the time to review your medical history and chart your dental health. Together you will discuss your concerns and decide on the best course of treatment for you.
Q: Where can I obtain and complete "New Patient" Forms?
A :We offer multiple options to complete "New Patient" forms which include electronic submission through our website under "New Patient Forms" tab or completing them in our office. If you choose to complete the forms in office we ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment to avoid shortening your timE with Dr. Fung.
Q: How often should I get dental cleanings and exams?
A: It is recommended to have a teeth cleaning every six months with exam and x-rays done yearly to check the overall health of your teeth and gums. If you have a history of periodontal disease, you should come in every three to four months for a cleaning. We have multiple amazing and highly skilled hygienist that will provide you with exceptional dental care and preventive education.
Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: We are in-network and contracted with most major PPO insurances. We also accept Care Credit and offer payment alternatives.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all major forms of payment which include cash, check, credit/debit card and Care Credit. Balance is due at the time services are rendered. To discuss your payment options, please call our office at (805) 499-0471 to speak with one of our knowledgeable team members
Q: Do you see children?
A: Dr. Fung is great with children! The American Dental Association and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend a child's first dental visit be within six months after first tooth appears but no later than child's first birthday.
